Actually my brother rented WA2 but the rent gave up and so yeah. XD And he was playing too many other JRPGs at the time .. WHEE!
I would like to play them, though .... If I had more time for console JRPGs. X_X;; I've only been playing handhelds, these days ..

Actually, if you have a PSP, Wild ARMs XF (Cross-Fire) is coming out soon. They messed around with the system and changed it yet again, though. This time it plays out like a tactical RPG... I think something like FFT or Tactics Ogre. Haven't done much research on it since I don't have a PSP and I don't want to get my hopes up.
WA5 seems to be the best of them so far, mostly because of the hex system. I played a little of the other four, but the battle system always ends up pissing me off (traditional turn-based). That, and the battle music for all the other Wild ARMs is ANNOYING. WA5 is the only one with battle music that I actually like.
Actually, WA4 introduced the hex system and WA5 improved upon it. There were other things about the game that annoyed me, though... For one thing, cutscenes aren't acted out with character models--all you get is a blurred background with character art on top. That, and I only have the Japanese version...haven't been able to find the English version at all.

"My guess might be excellent, or it might be crummy, but Mrs. Spade didn't raise any children dippy enough to make guesses in front of a district attorney, an assistant district attorney, and a stenographer."
Or, if you're talking about the image, I haven't been able to find any decent WA5 wallpaper. Guess I'll have to make my own.

Hmm no PSP D:
I thought WA3 had the Hex system. xD I guess I watched battle wrong when my friend was playing the final battles ^-^;;
Hurr hurr, I feel like I'm one of the last ones who still appreciate turn-based battle systems xD (which reminds me, I still need to finish FFVI GBA X_X)
I should ask my friend if I can borrow his WA games. xD
lolz JP version D: So you don't know what's going on ... xD

I guess the battle music annoys me more than the actual system itself. Autobattle is the one saving grace of the first three games. (On a side note, Lufia 1's battle system ticked me off after a while...)
WA is an awesome series. It's kinda weird how it's supposed to be a Western series, but only WA3 and WA5 are "true" Westerns.
Nope! I can only understand the spoken dialogue, and even then only barely. Actually, the neat thing about WA4j is that it actually has FURIGANA over the kanji! I'm too lazy to look up kanji when I'm playing a game and just wing it most of the time.
