"When Ventus started a delivery service of his own, he decided to go high-tech. Too bad they hadn't invented the seatbelt yet."
Remember this? Well, this is the overhauled version for round two of RPGamer's OmniArt 2006. It won second place. Hooray! Anyway, Unlimited:SaGa never gets the respect it deserves, so here's my tribute. Ventus is driving the taxi (of course), Ruby is enjoying the thrill, and poor Hiroyuki is about to fall out of the taxi. I tried to mimic the coloring style from the sketch motion animation sequences -- it's not perfect, but I think it turned out okay. What's this? I actually spent some time on the background? It's a miracle! That's supposed to be Loch Vaan in the background, but I took some artistic liberties... didn't want to copy it directly from the official art, after all. The whole thing took me about...a week to color. A sign of things yet to come? Probably not. Painter 9 Reference for the taxi: [link] |

"My guess might be excellent, or it might be crummy, but Mrs. Spade didn't raise any children dippy enough to make guesses in front of a district attorney, an assistant district attorney, and a stenographer."
